Comments from our Trucking Accident Attorneys
Truck drivers should know the proper way to check their mirrors before making a lane change. While the trucking industry likes to promote that trucks have blind-spots, in actuality, the truck driver can see all around his vehicle if he checks all his mirrors before changing lanes and continues to check them as he starts the maneuver. A properly trained truck driver knows that there are no blind spots if he uses his mirrors correctly. We have handled a number of lane change cases involving tractor-trailers.
